May is one of my favorite months of the year. I think July is my favorite, followed by June and then August and September. May is probably my second favorite month. The weather is getting better, you get to mow grass and May is filled with my daughters birthdays as well as my anniversary. You throw in Memorial Day to boot and it is a packed fun month.
This May has been no different. We have gone non-stop through the month and now June is almost here. The weather has been decent and I've gotten 3 mows in already. We had a killer Hollywood Movie Night party, Chop's birthday, Memorial Day and KLo has her party this weekend. I wish every month was May. Maybe not quite as busy, but definitely the enthusiasm it brings out in me.

Hulk is Tired...
I've started referring to myself as Hulk. I will often say "Hulk Angry" or "Hulk Smash" in reference to my mood. Currently, Hulk is tired. Work has slowed down some and the buzz of my past few months is wore down, but I feel like I am not recovering. I probably have the Swine Flue.
Anyway, I have started running with Kaylor a few days a week. We are doing well with it. She is in Cross Country, so she is already in great shape and running is easy for her. Hulk on the other hand is still getting the hang of it. Today on the run home, we decided to break into a sprint. She got a quick lead, but I poured on the afterburners and caught her and actually started to pass her as we went into the driveway. That was until I ran her over. Yep, wiped out my daughter into the driveway. Scraped up her hands and scratched her ipod up. Worse off, it wasn't even our driveway. In my haste to cross the finish line aka our driveway before her, I ran into our neighbors driveway thinking it was ours. Meanwhile, Kaylor is still running straight knowing our driveway was still 100 ft away. I felt like crap. The sad part was, had I realized where I was, I may have outran her without knocking her over. Oh well, this makes us even for last week when she ran a faster pace and almost stopped my heart.

I Mowed Yesterday...and it was GOOD!
I love to mow. On my old blog I used to have a Lawnmower's Report of each time I mowed. The length of the grass, what I was listening to on my ipod, how many injuries I received, how many WOOOO's I let out and an overall experience rating. It was a lot of fun and my readers seemed to enjoy it. That is not what this blog is for though. I am just blogging today to share why I love mowing. When I mow, there are few distractions, it is just me, my riding mower, and my music. Occassionally God will pop in there and we'll chat a bit, but for the most part, I just mow. I will be the first to admit that I am a very unorthodox mower. My technique is not common, my finished product is rarely stellar and I get injured almost every week. (Usually just minor scrapes and cuts) Still, it is one of my greatest joys.
I have said I have no plans of Twittering, however, if I did, my Tweet would be, "I just kicked some grass!"
